The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science has launched its new
Reporting Platform for institutions under the Ministry of Education. As most of these institutions are already WAYF member organisations, the Agency integrated the service with WAYF prior to launch. This gives reporters at participating institutions secure, seamless access via their usual institutional logins – without requiring technical setup at each institution.
The Platform enables institutions to submit various types of documents to the Agency, including VAT reports, student contact information for surveys, and details on external examiner corps.
The user interface follows the international standard, RA21, for signalling and activating institutional account access, ensuring a smooth federated login experience.
In the future, access via MitID Erhverv may be offered to institutions that are not part of WAYF but still issue business identities through MitID to their reporters. From a technical perspective, the Agency has already achieved integration with NemLog-in/MitID through its existing connection to WAYF. By choosing the OIDC protocol, the Agency avoids having to decrypt user data from NemLog-in and can simply reuse the WAYF integration as it stands. Learn more here about why.
