The online platform of the Financial Times (FT) – the internationally recognised British business and financial newspaper – is now accessible in WAYF, via eduGAIN. FT is one of the world’s leading multimedia news providers and delivers global, independent journalism on the economy, politics, business and social affairs.
Danish and North Atlantic research and educational institutions that are connected to WAYF and subscribe to the FT therefore now have the opportunity to allow their students and staff to access the FT’s online platform using their familiar institutional login – without each institution having to carry out any technical integration. With WAYF, institutions with an FT subscription also do not need to spend resources maintaining a separate connection to the FT’s platform – while still enabling their students and staff to benefit from single sign-on in the browser across all web services accessed via the institution’s login system.
This simple way of accessing the FT’s online platform has been made possible through the international login collaboration eduGAIN — through which WAYF has enabled users with accounts at WAYF institutions to access the platform in our British sister federation, the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research (“UKAMF”).
Copenhagen Business School is the first institution to take advantage of this effortless access to the FT. Institutions wishing to make use of this opportunity simply need to contact their FT representative and inform them that they wish to access their FT subscription via UKAMF. Don't hesitate to involve the WAYF Secretariat for a totally frictionless process.
