Since WAYF launched its new software platform in July, 2018, the end user has had the option to have WAYF remember the institution where he wants to authenticate when accessing each service he uses, thus avoiding having to re-choose this institution from a list on every access attempt.
Up until now, to achieve this, users have had to click OK in a dialogue box with choices OK and Cancel, upon selection of their login provider. And it has appeared counter-intuitive to many users that WAYF has forwarded them to the login page of the provider chosen even if Cancel had been clicked.
For this reason we have now discarded the dialogue box — and replaced it by a checkbox: If you want WAYF to remember your choice of login provider, simply check the box. If you do, you will, on all future attempts to access the service in question, be forwarded directly to the login page of the provider chosen for the service. In case you need to choose a different login provider at a later time, you still have the option to delete the preselection at my.wayf.dk.
